Broward County is filled with great trails that allow you to be active with your bicycles on a budget. Whether you want to mountain bike or just take a nice cruise, here are free and cheap bike trails in Broward Country you and your family can enjoy.

Bike routes

New River Greenway— paved path beside New River Canal from Everglades east to University Drive, with Markham Park along the route, information online  

Hiatus Road Greenway 5 miles along C-42 Canal in West Broward with Welleby Park on the north, and New River Greenway on the south, information online

Vista View Park

Vista View Park offers about three miles of trails to bike. There is an equestrian trail, fitness trail and a paved trail. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays.  C.B. Smith Park

C.B. Smith Park has almost two miles of paved pathways which can be used to bike. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays. Children five years and under are free. You do not have to pay for admission on weekdays. The park also offers annual passes, $25 for one person or $60 for a family up to six people in the same car. The park is located at 900 N.  Piccolo Park


Piccolo Park has a biking path, a little over four miles long, and a velodrome, a bicycle racing facility. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays.  Central Broward Regional Park

Central Broward Regional Park offers a walking path, a mile and a half long, around the park that bicyclist are allowed to use. The park also has two special hand cycles which are available for free on first-come, first-served basis. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays. Children five years and under are free. You do not have to pay for admission on weekdays. The park is located at 3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill, FL 33311.  Plantation Heritage Park

Plantation Heritage Park has a fitness trail that is a little over a mile long. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays. Children five years and under are free.  Quiet Waters Park

Quiet Waters Park offers seven miles of mountain bike trails. Trails are available for beginner, intermediate and expert riders. To use the mountain bike trails you must sign a waiver, watch a safety warning video at the park office, and wear a helmet. Riders under the age of 18 must have a written consent from a parent or legal guardian. There is a $5 per person daily fee or a $25 per person annual fee. Only mountain bikes are permitted on the trails. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays. Children five years and under are free.  Delevoe Park

Bike on a paved, quarter mile, pathway around the lake at Delevoe Park. The park also has a fitness trail, a litter over a mile long, throughout the park. Entry admission to the park is free.  Hollywood North Beach Park

Enjoy the beautiful views of Hollywood beach when you take your bike for a cruise at Hollywood North Beach Park. The board walk, which is east of the park, is about three to four miles long. Parking is $8 per vehicle. Metered parking is also available, so be sure to bring quarters. The park is located at 3601 N. Ocean Drive, Hollywood, FL 33019. Tree Tops Park

Tree Tops Park offers three nature trails. The Live Oak Trail is a wood-chipped trail almost a mile long. The Seminole Trail is a wood-chipped trail, almost half a mile long, that includes an interpretive exhibit on the Seminole Indians. The Pine Island Ridge Trail is a paved path, almost a mile long. There are also paved paths that connect the park facilities. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays. Children five years and under are free.  Topeekeegee Yugnee Park

Also known as T.Y. Park, Topeekeegee Yungnee Park offers a paved, two mile, pathway for bicyclist. Admission to the park is $1.50 per person on weekends and holidays. Children five years and under are free. You do not have to pay for admission on weekdays. The park is located at 3300 N. Park Road, Hollywood, FL 33021.  Markham Park

Markham Park has 10 miles of mountain bike trails. Trails are available for beginner, intermediate and expert riders.  Everglades Holiday Park
