Broward County Animal Care and Regulation is offering $15 rabies shots for dogs and cats of low-income residents at Sunset Lakes Community Center, 3601 SW 186th Ave., Miramar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24.
Residents must provide proof of Broward County residence and must prove they meet federal low-income guidelines.
Additional clinics are planned this year in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Margate, Oakland Park and West Park.
Residents who don’t meet low-income guidelines or can’t go to those clinics also have some low-cost cat and dog vaccination resources.
The Humane Society of Broward County will host a clinic for cats from 7 a..m. to 9 a.m. Jan. 31 and for dogs from 7 a.m .to 11 a.m. Feb. 1 in the back parking lot of the shelter, at 2070 Griffin Road. No appointments necessary. Rabies shots are $10 each ($15 with tag) for neutered animals. Other vaccinations and services also are available.
