Free St. Patrick’s fest in Hollywood

hollystpatDowntown Hollywood’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival will feature Irish folk and rock bands, step dancing, Irish coffee, food and beer from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15, along Hollywood Boulevard west of Young Circle, between 18th and 19th avenues. The event is free to the public.

Festivities will include parade starting at 1 p.m. featuring the New York Police Department’s famous Emerald Society Pipes & Drums, floats, local pipe bands, marching bands and community groups.

Performers will be Walt Rooney, 12:30 p.m.; Joe Dougherty, 1:30 p.m.;  Celtic Bridge, 2:15 p.m.; Off the Track,  3:15 p.m., Norman Clifford, 4 p.m. and Echoes of Erin, 4:30 p.m.

The parade and festival are pesented by the Hibernians of Hollywood, in coordination with the City of Hollywood Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department and the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency-Downtown District.
