Magician Jack Maxwell performs at 6:30 p.m. during Hollywood's Funtastic Friday event.
It’s another South Florida weekend of fun, free events. Here is a selection of activities for kids and adults in Broward:
* Funtastic Fridays in Hollywood, 5 p.m to 9 p.m. at Anniversary Park, 20th and Hollywood Boulevard. This week, Friday, March 20, features a free movie, Ice Age, at 7:30 p.m. Kids also eat free in selected downtown restaurants.
* Coral Springs Festival of the Arts, 10 a.m .to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, at 2874 N University Dr.
* Art walk 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 21, in downtown Hollywood.
* Storytelling for adults at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22, by Elizabeth Ellis at the Broward Main Library Auditorium, 100 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale. The “Divine Miss E” is a versatile, riveting teller of Appalachian and Texas tales and stories of heroic women, though her personal stories are her best. Ellis, a professional storyteller, is a repeated favorite at the National Storytelling Festival. This free program for adults and mature teens is in honor of Women’s History Month.
And, don’t forget the free Brazil on the Beach celebration all weekend, with three days of Footvolley tournament play, a free Daniela Mercury concert on Saturday, plus tons more free music, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
