Here are some free or cheap activities for families, kids and youth this spring break week:
* Free bilingual stories and songs at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Broward County Main Library, 100 S. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Check with your local branch for story times at other locations.
* Cheap skate (we love this) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Incredible Ice, 3299 Sportsplex Dr., Coral Springs. Price of $6 includes skates, and is half the normal price of admission plus skate rental. This deal is good every Wednesday.
* Jackpot Rodeo, 7 p.m. every Wednesday at Bergeron Rodeo Grounds
4271 Davie Rd., Davie. Includes calf roping and barrel racing. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for kids 3 to 12.
* Free Easter activities at Bass Pro Shop, 200 Gulf Stream Way
Dania Beach, including an egg hunt for ages 6 and under; a scavenger hunt for ages 7 to 17 , free crafts and geocaching classes for adults; 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 10; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12.
