A Hurricane Preparedness Expo and Open House is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 29 in Plantation.
The event, which coincides with National Hurricane Preparedness Week, includes exhibits and a a mock hurricane recovery exercise.
Also, guests are invited to tour the Broward County Emergency Operations Center, where the event is based, 201 NW 84th Ave., Plantation.
