A Broward animal shelter is marking the happy occasion by offering free gift bags until Saturday, Aug. 28 to folks who adopt a dog.
The adoption fee from Broward County Animal Care and Regulation is $74.95, at both of its shelters.
* 1870 S.W. 39th St., Fort Lauderdale. Adoption hours are Mondays to Fridays from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* 3100 N.W. 19th Terrace, Pompano Beach. Adoption hours are Wednesdays to Fridays from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
