Enjoy free entertainment to kick off an exhibit in Davie showcasing art produced by the Florida Highwaymen. The festivities include music and dance performances.
The event is Thursday, Feb. 4, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Nova Southeastern University, 3301 College Ave., Davie. Reservations are required. Phone 954-262-5353.
The exhibit, Road To Empowerment: Art of the Florida Highwaymen, features vintage oil paintings of Florida landscapes by an assortment of African-American artists who were known as the Highwaymen.
The paintings are on display through April 10 in the Second Floor Gallery at the NSU library.

- Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
