Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Many muncipalities are offering free events and businesses are offering theme promotions and deals.

They include
* Fort Lauderdale St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, Saturday, March 13, 11:30  a.m. to 9 p.m at Huizenga Plaza in the Los Olas Boulevard area of downtown Fort Lauderdale.  954-828-5985

* St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in downtown Hollywood, Sunday, March 14, noon to 6 p.m. Festivities are on Hollywood Boulevard, around 19th Avenue. The parade is at 1 p.m. on Hollywood Boulevard between 21st Avenue & Young Circle, then east on Harrison Street to 21st Avenue, 954-921-3404

* Morton’s The Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale, 500 E. Broward Blvd., is providing $5 bar bites and select beverages at Power Hour prices of $4 to $7, on Wednesday March 17,  954-467-9720
