Free native plants and trees are available at several events presented by Broward Schools and Naturescape Broward.
The events, which are at various middle schools, include exhibits and music.
* Westglades Middle School, 11000 Holmberg Road, Parkland, 9 a.m. to noon April 17
* Crystal Lake Middle School, 3551 NE Third Ave., Pompano Beach, 9 a.m. to noon April 24
* Arthur Ashe Middle School, 1701 NW 23rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale, 9 a.m. to noon May 8
* Silver Trail Middle School, 18300 Sheridan St., Pembroke Pines, 9 a.m. to noon May 15
