Information about using water efficiently and free native plants and trees are offered at an event at Tree Tops Park in southwest Broward.
Water Matters Day is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 9 at Tree Tops Park, 3900 SW 100th Ave., Davie. Educational exhibits, kids’ activities, face painting, music and rain barrel workshops are included at the event. To be eligible for free native plants, participants need to gather stamp marks from at least 12 booths.
Other than the regular entry fees to the park, the event is free. The park’s weekend entry fees are $1.50 a person, and free for kids age 5 and younger. For info, 954-510-0328
