Twenty-four local artists are showcasing their paintings in a free display,  titled “Splash.”

The exhibit at Nova Southeastern University in Davie is in the second-floor gallery of the library. 

Along with the exhibit, which runs into September, spectators may want to attend a demonstration focusing on the techniques for  painting ocean waves. The presentation, How to Paint A Wave, is at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10.

If you enjoy tinkering with Legos, you’ll enjoy this exhibit in downtown Hollywood.

Artist Nathan Sawaya uses the plastic toy blocks  to make his impressive sculptures.

His pieces are on display at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, 1650 Harrison St.,  Hollywood.  Enjoy them free on Sunday, June 20  noon to 4 p.m.
