To educate the public about the role of building permits in home improvement and other projects, a group of building officials is presenting a free expo.
The event includes vendors, displays and mock-ups of bathroom and kitchen projects.
The Code Awareness and Safety Expo is presented by Broward County Building Officials 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23
The event is at War Memorial Auditorium, 800 NE Eighth St., Fort Lauderdale.
