For a deal on energy-efficient L.E.D. holiday lights, some vendors offer discounts for trading in old incandescent lights.
L.E.D. lights require about 75 percent to 80 percent less energy than old-fashioned bulbs, according to the United States Department of Energy.
The Christmas Palace stores are offering 20% discounts on L.E.D. light sets for each old light set traded in.
