Tool around town safely. Fun bike rodeos and other bike events for youngsters and families are offered at different venues in Broward.
Many of the events for Florida Bike Month in March are free, except for regular park entry fees on weekends, which are $1.50 for 6 and older. Most events require youngsters and others to bring bikes and helmets.
- Family Fun Bike Night 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 15, Sable Pines Park, 5005 NW 39th Avenue, Coconut Creek. Parents need to accompany youngsters. Movie afterward is “Cars 3”
- Bicycle Scavenger hunt
March 9 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Tradewinds Park & Stables, 3600 W. Sample Road., Coconut Creek 33073; 954-357-8870. For ages 5-15. Participants provide bikes and helmets.
