South Florida is eager to see “Hamilton” in Fort Lauderdale, and opportunities for discount tickets are offered by digital lottery.
The show runs December 18 to January 20. A lottery opens 2 days before each show, with an allotment of 40 tickets — which equates to about 20 winners — per show.
Enter the lottery online or download an app for your phone or other electronic device. Set your entry for Fort Lauderdale shows, rather than other lotteries also offered on the app. The lottery is open 11 a.m. two days before each performance to 9 a.m. the day before. You must be 18 with a valid photo ID to enter — which is verified when you pick up your tickets if you win. Enter once per person, per show.
If you win, you’ll receive a notification by email or text and a link to purchase 1 or 2 tickets online from 11:01 a.m. to 4 p.m. the day before the show. The tickets must be picked up by the person who entered, and they are not transferable or allowed to be sold.
The show is at Broward Center, 201 Southwest 5th Ave., Fort Lauderdale 33312
Regular tickets are on sale at the box office or online and Ticketmaster.

Right
the lottery for each show opens 2 days before. So the lottery for Fort Lauderdale is only active when the show is in town — and 2 days before
