4th of July fireworks, parades & events in Broward

Lots of July Fourth events in Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield and other towns in Broward feature fireworks, parades and live entertainment. Fun for kids is often part of the festivities. You will also find free concerts and other fun for all ages. With this list, you can find the best places to watch fireworks in Broward.

Usually, Fourth of July events in 2023 are on July 4, with occasional exceptions. Lots of events are free. Some feature free parking.

Usually pets are not permitted. It's a good idea to leave pets at home for their safety.  Dogs and other animals generally do not like fireworks.

Broward events in 2023 include:

West Broward

Weston

Weston is offering family-friendly fun and fireworks 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. July 3 @ Weston Regional Park, 20200 Saddle Club Road, Weston, website. The event includes a fun zone with inflatable games, airbrush tattoos, balloon twisters, photo stations, and DJ entertainment. Entry is free. Parking is free.

Weston Hometown Parade is 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. July 4 ,  route is Town Center Boulevard and Three Village Road, east on Three Village Road to Bonaventure Boulevard, winding through Weston Town Center along Bell Tower Lane.

Sunrise

Parade & Family Fun Day  9 a.m. – 12 p.m. July 4, featuring  parade with floats west on Sunset Strip from Northwest 12th Street to the park @ 6600 Sunset Strip. At the park, festivities include free refreshments, fun zone for kids including an inflatable water slide & rock wall.  The park features a playground and splashpad.

Fun 6 p.m. – 10 p.m July 4 is  outdoors @ FLA Live Arena , One Panther Parkway, Sunrise. The event includes a fun zone for youngsters, food & drink vendors,  entertainment & fireworks. Free entry and free parking. Information, phone 954-747-4600

Plantation

Plantation July Fourth festivities include a parade at 9 a.m. Parade route is from Broward Boulevard & Northwest 46th Avenue, west on Broward Boulevard to Northwest 69th Avenue, to Northwest Fourth Street to Plantation city hall, 400 NW 73rd Ave., Plantation 33317.

Kids Zone, entertainment & fireworks. Events are Central Park ballfields, 600 Central Park Drive, Plantation

  • 6 p.m. Kids Zone at Plantation Central Park ballfields, 9151 NW 2nd St., Plantation
  • 7 p.m. live band Havoc 305
  • 9 p.m. fireworks

Entry is free. Food is available for purchase, or provide your own picnic. Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs. No pets please. Parking is limited. If possible walk, ride a bike or ride with someone else. For information, 954-452-2510

Pembroke Pines

Independence Day fun in Pembroke Pines 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. July 4 includes rides, food trucks, pie eating event, and fireworks. Live entertainment 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. features the band Good Musicians. No pets. No fireworks. No coolers. The venue is Pines recreation facilities, 7400 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines. Parking is free.

Tamarac

Fun for kids, food trucks & fireworks are featured in Tamarac. Festivities are 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. July 4 at Tamarac Sports complex, 9901 NW 77th Street, Tamarac. Entry is free, including entertainment from Original Studio 54 Band. Fun for kids includes inflatables, face painting & art. Food vendors are on site.  Fireworks are at 9 p.m., and feel free to bring your own seats. Park at designated parking areas and use a free shuttle. Parking is at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Avenue and Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Boulevard. Shuttle runs 5:30 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. & after the fireworks. Margate

July 4th events in Margate include a parade  9 a.m. on Margate Boulevard from 76th Avenue to State Road 7.

A pool party is 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the water park, 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard. The fee for the pool party is $4 for Margate residents and $7 for non-residents.

Fourth of July Extravaganza is 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. with food trucks, a live band and fireworks at 9 p.m. at Margate Boulevard and US 441.

Miramar

Fireworks and other Fourth of July fun is 6 p.m. – about 9 p.m. July 4 at Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway 33027.  Entry is free. Parking is $10.

The event includes Miramar Land Kid Zone with wet and dry fun. Bring swimwear and towels. The event includes a foam party, food trucks, and a DJ dance party. No pets. No personal fireworks. No drones.

East Broward

 

Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale offers July Fourth fireworks and festivities 12 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. July 4, including water slides, fireworks and live performers, including rapper and singer Flo Rida.

July Fourth festivities are at  Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, and on Fort Lauderdale Beach off Las Olas Boulevard.

 Entertainment includes

12 p.m. Gypsy Lane

2:45 p.m. Relentless

5 p.m. Higher Ground

Entry is free. Parking fees apply. For events, parking is $25 at Las Olas Garage, 200 E. Las Olas Circle, and Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, 700 Seabreeze Boulevard.

Street parking is $4 an hour, or $1.50 an hour for registered residents.

Hollywood

Star Spangled Spectacular includes entertainment at 5 p.m. and off-shore fireworks at 9 p.m.  on Hollywood Beach. Entertainment is at the bandshell on Johnson Street. 

Entertainment includes a DJ and Mixtape band playing 80s hits.

Parking for the event in Hollywood garages at the beach is $30.

Other parking is at Hollywood Beach Garage at A1A and Hollywood Boulevard; North Beach Park at Sheridan Street and A1A (must enter before sundown); Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort at A1A and Johnson Street; Keating Park at 2400 S. Ocean Drive/301 Magnolia Terrace; the Dunewalk/Summit Lot at 1200 S. Ocean Drive and the Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood at 3555 S. Ocean Drive. Rates at the se venues are determined by the owners of the lots.

For folks parking in downtown Hollywood, Sun Shuttle offers electric vehicles that run routes that include Hollywood beach. Request a ride via the app for $2, or flag down the driver and it's free. The Sun Shuttle is offered 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. July 4, download Ride Circuit app.

Foam boxes and single use plastics, like plastic bags, bottles and utensils are not permitted on Hollywood beach or in Hollywood parks.

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Fun is 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. July 4  with a parade, activities and fireworks. Fourth of July Parade and Family Fun Day

10 a.m. parade with route of south on Bougainvilla Drive, east on Pine Avenue, south on El Mar Drive to Hibiscus Avenue

11 a.m. – 2p.m. Family Fun Day at El Prado Park, 4500 El Mar Drive, with water slide, Bubble Man, DJ, volunteer fire department

9 p.m. Fireworks display launched off the beach

Pompano Beach

July Fourth Fireworks Extravaganza in Pompano Beach is 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. July 4 on the beach south of the pier, 222 N. Pompano Beach Boulevard. Entertainment includes Rubixx Band at 5:30 p.m playing hits from the 80s. Other entertainment includes Speaker Box Band at 7 p.m, and at 9 p.m. fireworks.  Bring your own seats or blankets. No drones. No fireworks. No pets. No glass. No alcohol. Parking is at the end of Atlantic Boulevard and A1A. Street parking and the beach garage are available. Parking rates are usually $4 an hour or $20.

Deerfield Beach

July Fourth fun is 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. July 4, including live entertainment and fireworks at 9:05 p.m. from the pier.

The event is in the main beach parking lot, 149 SE 21st Avenue, Deerfield Beach. Parking fees may apply.

Entertainment includes

5 p.m. Andrew Morris

6:30 p.m. Force Majeure

8 p.m. Whiskey country

Parking is limited in the area.

Offsite parking with a walk across the bridge includes

Sullivan Park, 1700 Riverview Road, Deerfield Beach 33441

Shuttles are offered from
